Girls Rock! Classes - We're going to practice our moves, make up dances, play games and get creative - it's all about having fun and exploring what it means to YOU to be a girl! This semester we are going to focus on b-girling (breakdancing) and hip hop. Students will also help choreograph and produce a music video. Musical highlights include new female African hip hop music as well as local music. This class performs at LEAF (the Lake Eden Arts Festival) in May; cost is included in class. Capoeira For Kids The Capoeira Asheville group is now offering capoeira for kids age 7-11. Capoeira combines martial arts, gymnastics, music and dance. Children learn to sing in Portuguese and play traditional, afro-brazilian instruments. Classes are Mondays and Wednesdays from 6pm to 7pm. Please arrive 10-15 min. prior to class.
